Keith Lawson II
Principal / CEO
Keith worked in the business while attending college, and joined KLM full-time after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Building Construction from the University of West Florida in 1992. He holds Florida certified plumbing, certified mechanical, certified general and LP gas licenses, as well as Alabama and Georgia Mechanical licenses. Keith has been estimating and managing commercial plumbing & mechanical projects of all sizes since 1992. Keith is now responsible for the day-to-day operations of KLM. Keith was appointed in August 2013 by Governor Rick Scott to serve on the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board.
Tom has over 40 years' experience in the mechanical contracting business. He graduated from Southern Technical Institute, Marietta, GA, in 1964 and began his contracting career as General Manager with a small plumbing & heating/air conditioning firm in Gainesville, GA.
Since 1964, Tom has been the responsible managing licensed officer of five firms and has been President and CEO of two firms for over ten years, each with annual revenues exceeding $20 Million.

Tom served as General Manager of Keith Lawson Mechanical Contractors, Inc. from April 1995 through June 2002. He holds skill and qualification licenses (plumbing & mechanical) in 16 states, as well as a certified builder license in Florida. Between 2002 and 2008, Tom was a self-employed business consultant to KLM as needed. As of 2009, Tom has returned to KLM as a full-time consultant.
John joined Keith Lawson Mechanical Contractors in 2011 and has over 40 years' experience in supervising, estimating and project managing large scale commercial plumbing, HVAC and mechanical projects.
John received a B.S. in Business Administration from Georgia Southwestern College, holds a Trane Air Conditioning Certification and has attended various air conditioning training classes.
John's experience covers a wide range of facilities including Medical/Hospital Facilities, Military Facilities, Office Buildings, Conference Centers and various types of Commercial Facilities.
Division Manager - West Florida
Chris joined Keith Lawson Company in 2013 as Division Manager for the West Florida satellite office in Panama City, FL. He has over 36 years’ experience in the mechanical and plumbing industries including Design/Build, Estimating and Project Management. Chris’s knowledge covers a wide range of facilities including Hospitals, Military Facilities, Schools, Gymnasiums, Conference Centers, Manufacturing Facilities, Condominiums, Hospitality, Retail and various types of Commercial Facilities.
Chris holds Florida Certified Air Conditioning Contractor and Certified Plumbing Contractor licenses, an Alabama Master Plumber / Gas Fitter license, a Georgia Master Plumber Non Restricted license, a Florida Medical Gas Certification and a Florida Fire Protection System Contractor V license.
Plumbing / Mechanical Commercial Estimator
Mitch joined KLM in 1992 as a plumber and in 2000, began estimating residential / commercial jobs and serving as project manager. In 2001, Mitch assumed responsibility for supervising residential and commercial retrofit and construction projects. He has 16+ years' experience in the construction industry. Mitch holds a City of Tallahassee journeyman plumber license and is certified for gas socket-fusion piping and gastite gas piping.
Georgia Division Manager
Ken joined Keith Lawson Mechanical in February 2016 as the Division Manager for the Columbus, GA office. Ken graduated of Auburn University with a Mechanical Engineering degree and has also completed various Project Management courses.
Ken has over 14 years’ experience in managing, estimating, and supervising various size commercial HVAC and plumbing projects ranging from $50,000 to $29,000,000, and has technical knowledge of Plumbing, Medical Gas, Chill & Hot Water Systems, Plumbing Piping, Sheet Metal Fabrication and HVAC Equipment.
Construction Division Manager
Newton joined Keith Lawson Company in 2012 and is currently project managing large scale mechanical / plumbing projects. He has over 30 years’ experience in supervising, estimating and project managing large scale commercial plumbing, HVAC and mechanical projects.
Newton holds a Journeyman Sheet Metal Contractor license and is experienced in plumbing, fire protection, medical gas, steam, chilled and hot water, process piping, compressed air, sheet metal fabrication and HVAC equipment.
Plumbing / Mechanical Commercial Project Manager
Bud joined Keith Lawson Mechanical in June 2015 as a Project Manager and is managing mechanical projects in Georgia and Florida.
Bud has over 25 years’ experience in estimating, supervising and managing a diverse variety of mechanical projects, ranging from small retrofit to large scale industrial projects, including Plumbing, Medical Gas Systems, Laboratory Systems, Hydronics, Steam, Compressed Air and various other mechanical piping systems. Bud is also an experienced estimator and is familiar with Estimation, FASTpipe, & Quickpen estimating software.
Plumbing / Mechanical Estimator / Project Manager
Buddy joined Keith Lawson Company in June 2009, starting out working on the HVAC piping crew, and quickly earned his welding certification. Buddy is a pipefitter, certified forklift operator, OSHA qualified rigger and signal person, and is a certified pipe welder in the shielded metal arc welding process. Buddy received a B.S. degree in Business Administration in May 2013.
Executive Administrator & Corporate Secretary
Kelly joined KLM in 2000 and provides admin support to Senior Management and to the Construction Estimators, as well as handles various financial, managerial and advertising/marketing duties for the company. Kelly received an Associate of Arts degree with a concentration in business management from Tallahassee Community College.
Executive Administrative Assistant
Debbie joined Keith Lawson Mechanical in 2016 to support the Division Manager and Construction Project Managers in our Columbus, Georgia office, bringing with her extensive experience in administration and liaison between firm, vendors and staff. She serves as a key player in providing administrative support with finance, accounting and human resources. Debbie joined us after changing professional paths, having spent 20+ years as a Paralegal and brings with her strong skills in general management, supervision, as well as experience in both corporate and legal fields.
Summer joined KLC in 2018 as the Construction Administrator for the Division Manager and Project Managers. Summer’s professional experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry including but not limited to administration, project management and customer service. As a fundamental asset to the company, she spearheads any and all duties related to the project management administration for the Tallahassee division.
