Often, there is some confusion about what type of comfort system you might have in your home. Heat pumps have components that both heat and cool your home. The outdoor unit can look very similar to an air conditioning unit, so it is sometimes hard to tell which type of system you have. The inside unit is generally referred to as an air handler which takes the place of a furnace.
